What is the reason for the difference in the ways God seems to move in different places? Is the answer only to be found in His sovereignty and divine will? God’s will has always been to reveal Himself to those who hunger for Him! Does God love some people and nations more than He does others? We already know the answer to that question is a resounding “No!” We really don’t have to look too far to find the right answer because it’s not as complicated as some people might think. The way God deals with a nation is ALWAYS contingent upon the heart values of God’s people in that nation. One element which is at the core of this issue is the true worth the Church places upon giving God the honor and reverence that He deserves! Consider the following scripture from Malachi 1:6 where God said,
“A son honors his father and a servant his master. If then I am the Father, where is My honor? And if I am a Master, where is My reverence?”
This is the reason that God told Solomon in 2 Chronicles 7:14,
“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven, and forgive their sin, and heal their land.”
If we as the Church would only learn to honor Him, reverence Him, respect Him, and seek after His ways more than our own, great revival and transformation would surely come. Having church is not about us and our interests. The Church is ALL about Him!
Someone made the following statement and then asked this question-
“The Church is the Body of Christ. But when a body becomes a business, isn’t that the same as becoming a prostitute? If we only love Him in order to be compensated for our efforts by His blessings, isn’t that the same thing?”
The Church in America simply MUST come back to Him and begin giving Him the honor He deserves -- not by our flattering words that seek to gain His approval and be “paid” by His blessings. We MUST give Him honor, reverence, and respect through repentance and lives built upon holiness and integrity by keeping His Word! He asked these questions, “A son honors his father and a servant his master. If then I am the Father, where is My honor? And if I am a Master, where is My reverence?” God wants more than the mere flattery of our words. He wants the lives of His people in unconditional surrender and without reservation to Him and His purposes.
This year has been one of the busiest for our ministry in many years, both in America and in the nations. We have surely witnessed a dramatic increase in the numbers of people in our meetings who have asked Jesus into their hearts for the first time as well as those who have come back to Him for rededication. To God be ALL THE GLORY, HONOR, AND PRAISE! As we look forward to 2010, we see many doors opening to places that are hungry for the things of God. We are going to India in January, Venezuela in February, and England in March. These are in addition to our meetings around America. We are ever mindful of the overwhelming harvest of souls that is ready to be gathered in the nations as well as the desperate need for in our nation as well. This really is a strategic moment in the plans and purposes of God.
